Rainy Day

Working from home and all I wish to do is camp out and make sheet forts with Ruby.

Hermes Tray

Lonny magazine shot our living room and my Hermes tray was featured.

Judy Kameon-Elysian Landscapes

We had the HUGE pleasure of working with Judy on our backyard. We had a horrible start with another company and when we researched what we wanted our overall feel to be we thought of The Parker hotel in Palm Springs. Not to mention that's where we got married. So why not go to the source and that's how we found Judy. Our backyard is a dream come true and we really owe it all to her eclectic and chic taste and she just "got us". I had to share the spread from Dwell that is featured on Apartment Therapy. Its AMAZING and i'm sure you guys will agree. Find Judy at Elysian Landscapes.

playhouses

Ruby is turning 2 in a few weeks and I'm looking to get her a playhouse. Here are some that i'm loving.

fun tracing art project

Lay your leaves between two pieces of paper and start coloring over them with a crayon....easy peasy.

Billy Burke's Record Release Party

We left Malibu for one night and ended up with this.

Listening To

I'm listening to The Shout Out Loud's new record called WORK while I work.

san ysidro ranch...heaven on earth

My husband Tim & I just experienced our 5th wedding anniversary. We didn't have anything in the books for a trip (due to crazy work schedules). But when Tim mentioned he was heading up to Santa Barbara to work on a record for a month I thought I better use this as my opportunity to go visit San Ysidro Ranch. To my surprise they were pet friendly and kid friendly. So we packed up Bixby our dog and we all headed up north on an impromptu family vacay (we booked it the morning we left). We pulled up to the driveway of the ranch and our jaws dropped. The drive was lined with tons of lavender bushes and it was gorgeous. The weather was warm and you could see the ocean. There were beautiful gardens and the bungalows were all nestled behind trees. We stayed in the "terrace" house which was 2 bedrooms and we had 3 flat screens and our own jacuzzi, it was way too much but i'm not complaining. We had our breakfast and lunch on the deck where you could see bunnies and birds. We had a jacuzzi outside our bedroom and an outdoor shower. Bixby had his own dog bed, water and food bowls. Ruby had her own kidsize bathrobe. At dinner we met a couple from Silverlake and they also had their two year old son Koji with them. Ruby and Koji spent the evening running around the lettuce patches and citrus gardens playing chase. This place was absolute heaven on earth, we had the best time and I would highly recommend it. I mean it is forbes magazines best hotel in the world.

p.s. the santa barbara zoo was cool too!!

coachella 2010

We all took a family trip to Coachella this year to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Chap, Geli & Junebug were there to celebrate Junebug's first birthday. The girls hung by the pool together and Ruby wrestled and rubbed her head a lot. We took Ruby to the concert the second day and she got to meet the characters from Yo Gabba Gabba backstage. She also went to see Alex perform in Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's. To our surprise Alex pulled her on stage to sing and dance with her. About 10,000 people waved Hello to her. Such a cool way to experience her first show. We all had a blast and to top it off she made it in the newspaper. Next year she's going to want her own tour bus...yikes.

baby boy gifts!

My friend Melanie is having a baby boy and her shower is next week. I've been shopping like a mad woman to find the right gifts for her. Mel spoils Ruby (hermes bookmark and her first ballet flats from burberry) so you can imagine the pressure. Here are a few things from her registry and a few additions i couldn't live without when Ruby was a newborn. All bundled in a baby clothes hamper from the container store. Enjoy!
